RECAP

November saw Mates that Matter come back bigger and better than ever. With restrictions easing we were able to provide quality and engaging events to our members! We would like to give a big shout out to our Community Partner, 1989 Arcade Bar who were able to make this happen.

MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

“November was undoubtedly a great month for MTM. With the excitement of welcoming many new members into our program alongside being able to host events as if lockdown never happened. We look forward to a strong finish to the year with some great events ahead for our members.” – Daniel Drapac, Founder

CITY TRIALS

The first activity of November, kicked off with the MTM team embarking on a series of riddles. This required heavy duty detective work which also enabled the team to explore Sydneys rich cultural history.

COASTAL BUSH WALK

The foreshore walk consisted of the group seeking the best views in Sydney. The team was a mission to the find the best pies to match, ending up at the infamous Harry’s Cafe de wheels!

GRAFFITI TOUR

Patrolling the streets of Redfern to check out the latest Graffiti was next up on the agenda. The team had a challenge to take the worlds ‘wickedest and sickest photo’, as seen to the left, this was indeed successful!

1989 ARCADE BAR

Lastly, we finished the month off at 1989 Arcade Bar in Newtown. The team was treated to a variety of arcade classics such as ‘Donkey Kong’. This event was special as we welcomed a couple of new members to the group, a perfect introduction that was made possible due to our community partnership.

UPCOMING EVENTS

December will undoubtedly be a busy one, MTM has been hard at work organising exciting and new events for the team! A sneak peek includes the following:

  • Laser Tag
  • Virtual Escape room
  • Christmas themed picnic!
